- Fence – Our number one recommendation for backyard pools is to put a fence around it. This will help to keep children and pets out of the pool area unsupervised. Don’t have small children? What about the neighbor kids? Even though they may not have your permission to be in your pool they still may try and that is when a locking fence comes in handy.
- Rescue Equipment – All backyard pools should have rescue equipment nearby. Some items to consider having are a life hook, life ring, or rescue tube.
- Alarm System – An alarm system will make a loud noise when anyone opens the pool fence or enters the pool.
